Naruko Fuji Mound

The Tokyo’s largest artificial mountain for worship handmade by the volcano rocks formally transported from Mt. Fuji. Though now surrounded by a forest of modern condominium buildings, it is worth climbing to the summit for a moment of prayer that will surely calm your mind.

Also, it is believed that climbing and praying here once has the same health and spiritual benefits equivalent to an actual climbing to Mr. Fuji, according to the teaching of Fuji-ko, an indigenous religious/holiday travel fund union which used to be widely organised among commoners in Kanto and other regions.
Be careful not to slip on the way to the summit!
